A Wedding in the Church of The Good Shepherd

The iconic Church of the Good Shepherd is situated on the shores of Lake Tekapo amongst the natural beauty of the lake and the mountains.

The Church was built in 1935 as a place of worship for the pioneer families of the Mackenzie country.  It is still used regularly for worship by various denominations in the Mackenzie and is part of the Mackenzie Cooperating Parish.
The special and spiritual feeling and the surrounding natural beauty of the church draws couples from many nations to the Church to be married.  All weddings must be conducted by Ordained Christian Clergy. The Weddings are considered a unique area of mission for the Parish.
